Povzetek
Učenci, ki se z učenjem programiranja srečajo prvič, imajo velikokrat težave pri razumevanju kognitivno zahtevne snovi. Poučevanje programiranja se danes osredotoča predvsem na učenje sintakse in značilnosti programov, manj pa na globlje razumevanje programskih konstruktov in abstraktnih pojmov. Računalniške igre omogočajo aktivno učenje učencev in predstavitev snovi na zabaven in privlačen način, kar pozitivno vpliva na motiviranost za učenje. V članku se ukvarjamo s kognitivnimi vidiki predstavitve spremenljivk pri učenju programiranja. Skozi igro učenec spozna, kaj je spremenljivka, kje je v računalniku shranjena in kaj se z njo dogaja ob prireditvi. Igra temelji na vizualizaciji različnih tipov spremenljivk in prireditvenih stavkov ter z interaktivnostjo spodbuja aktivno učenje.

Abstract
Students learning to program often have problems understanding cognitively complex concepts. Teaching programming mainly focuses on the syntax and features of programs, rather than on deeper understanding of programming constructs and abstract concepts. Computer game stimulates active learning and presentation of learning contents in different contexts, which is funny and engaging for students. This has a positive impact on motivation to learn. The paper deals mainly with the cognitive concepts of presentation of variables in programming. Throughout the game, student learns where the variable is located in computer and what happens in the assignment sentence. The game is based on visualizations of different variable types and on explanation of the assessment sentence. The game actively promotes interactivity and deeper learning.
