Povzetek
Prispevek želi predstaviti primer dobre prakse mednarodnega sodelovanja med osnovno šolo St. Andrew iz Austina, Texas in osnovno šolo Toma Brejca iz Kamnika. Šoli sta sodelovali v okviru Projekta Challenge 20/20, ki spodbuja globalno učenje. Za skupno temo sta si šoli izbrali temo »Izginjanje gozdov«. Projektno delo je temeljilo na raziskovalnem, terenskem delu, zbiranju slikovnega gradiva ter drugih informacij, ki so jih učenci s pomočjo razredničarke pridobivali s pomočjo svetovnega spleta. Ugotovitve, dokumentacija, analize in fotografije so se zbirali na spletni strani, ki je bila po končanem projektu dostopna vsem. Na podlagi zbranih informacij so bili ugotovljeni izsledki pomembnosti gozda ter posledice njegovega izginjanja, kar je bil tudi končni cilj naloge. Raziskovalni del je potekal v sklopu rednega pouka, v času projektnega tedna, ki je bil predviden v letnem delovnem načrtu razreda. Prispevek na podlagi predstavljenega mednarodnega projektnega dela kaže uporabnost in prepletanje različnih orodij sodobne IKT in njihovo medsebojno prepletanje pri poučevanju, raziskovanju in dokumentiranju vseh faz vzgojno – izobraževalnega procesa, od načrtovanja do predstavitve končnega izdelka.

Abstract
The article presents a model of good practice in international school cooperation between St. Andrew primary school (Austin, Texas, USA) and Tomo Brejc elementary school (Kamnik, Slovenia). The institutions took part in the Challenge 20/20 Project which encourages global education. The theme that the both schools chose and worked on was »Deforestation«. Project work, which was monitored by the class teacher, was based on a number of activities including field work, research, collecting data such as pictures and pieces of information on the Internet. The findings, documentation, analysis and photographs were collected on the website which was accessible to all after the project had been completed. The research part took place during the project week which was planned afore in the curriculum. Based on information gathered during project week, the importance of forests and the consequences of its disappearance were highlighted. These finding were the primary goal of the project. Through description of this international project, the article exemplifies the usefulness and the interplay of various tools of modern ICT. It shows integration between teaching, research and documentation with all phases of education process, from planning to presentation of the final product.
