Računalniki, telefoni, igralne konzole in ostala IKT tehnologija so njihove vsakdanje igrače in pripomočki. Zato smo v letu prostovoljstva odrasli in učenci OŠ Pirniče ponudili računalniški tečaj starejšim občanom naše krajevne skupnosti. S tem računalniškim tečajem smo želeli prebuditi medgeneracijsko sodelovanje in postaviti učenca v vlogo učitelja.
Abstract
ICT is a kind of environment students have been using since they were born. Computers, phones, play stations and other ICT technology are toys and gadgets children are in touch with daily. Senior citizens have got acquainted with it only recently. In this year of volunteering, grown-ups and children of Pirniče Primary School have joined our forces to offer computer lessons to senior citizens in our community. Two beginners computer courses were organised. Students, a teacher, the headmistress and senior citizens from the community worked together. The school made connections with Pirniče Retired Persons Association, which helped us inform people. The aim of this computer course was to stimulate intergenerational cooperation and put a student into a teacher position. Furthermore, we wanted to present computer technology to elderly people in a non-complicated and easy way that they as well could cope with. As a result, students were motivated and keen to teach senior citizens since they were doing something very familiar to them. Senior citizens were shown they could be taught by young people, too, especially concerning ICT. In a nutshell, students, teachers and headmistresses have put their heads together and provided some of their knowledge to their grandparents, which is great.
Key words: intergenerational cooperation, computer courses, ICT technology, volunteering, teaching senior citizens.
