Abstract
The general economic crisis reduces the speed with which Slovene primary schools are getting equipped with interactive whiteboards which represent the peak of the up-to-date ICT on the primary school level. However, this does not mean that there is a lack of modern, interactive teaching methods. On the contrary, the teacher is faced with the problem of how to use the existent ICT, which is in most cases comprised of a computer and projector, to assure the maximum interactivity possible. It has to be said that to substitute the whole rang of possibilities that an interactive whiteboard offers teachers and pupils is unfeasible. Nevertheless, using a simple whiteboard, some interactivity can be brought into the classroom. The article describes the ways in which a whiteboard can be used together with a computer, projector and the teacher’s creativity to become an interactive one. With a computer and the Word for Windows or PowerPoint for Windows software, exercises can be pleasing to the eye, and what is most important, pupils can still solve problems in front of the board and thus get immediate feedback: visual (computer + projector + whiteboard) and/or oral (teacher). Interactivity is therefore guaranteed.
