Povzetek
V prispevku je prikazano, na kakšen način vzpodbuditi dijake, da bi izboljšali razumevanje matematike. Pri pouku informatike smo izkoristili prednosti IKT in na nekaj primerih iz narave prikazali uporabnost matematike oziroma njeno zabavno plat. Dijaki so za reševanje nalog lahko uporabljali svoje mobilne telefone, digitalne fotoaparate in prenosnike. S pomočjo fotografije smo raziskovali geometrijo, simetrijo, tlakovce, rozete, zlati rez v naravi in vse to obdelali s programom Photofiltre. Spustili smo se tudi v modne vode in raziskovali matematične vzorce v modnih oblačilih. Svet in domovino pa smo raziskovali s programi Google Earth in Google Map. Dijakom je tak način dela všeč, pa še matematika jim je sedaj ljubša in se jim zdi uporabnejša.

Abstract
The paper shows how to encourage students to improve their understanding of mathematics. In Information technology in the classroom we took advantage of ICT and in a few cases we illustrated the usefulness of the nature of mathematics and its fun side. When doing the tasks students were allowed to use their mobile phones, digital cameras and laptops. We have studied the geometry, symmetry, paving, rosettes, and golden section in nature through photos, all processed with the program Photo Filtre. We also studied mathematical patterns in fashionable clothes. We have used the programs Google Earth and Google Map when studying world and countries. Students loved the way of researching, and even found mathematics preferred and useful.
