Povzetek

V prispevku je na podlagi teoretičnih izhodišč predstavljen model uporabe IKT pri pouku geografije. Model temelji na izobraževalnih ciljih sodobnega pouka geografije, prenovljenih učnih načrtih za geografijo in na izobraževalnih smernicah v 21. stoletju.
Poudarjeni so kriteriji za oblikovanje modela ter oprema, medij oz. geografske vsebine, ki jih učitelji vključujemo v izobraževalni proces na področju geografije. Izpostavljena je pomembnost uporabe geografskih informacijskih sistemov, ki bi morala odigrati pomembnejšo vlogo pri uresničevanju ciljev učnega načrta in doseganju geografskih kompetenc.
Prikazan model predstavlja pomemben raziskovalni dosežek na področju didaktike geografije. Pomemben je tako z vidika možnosti, ki jih IKT pri pouku geografije ponuja, kot tudi z vidika potrebnih prilagoditev metod in oblik poučevanja ter samoizobraževanja.

Abstract

This paper presents the model of ICT use in Geography lessons on the basis of theoretical background. The model is based on educational goals of modern Geography lessons, new teaching plans for Geography and education guidelines of the 21st century.
The paper underlines the criteria for creating a model, as well as the equipment, media and geographical contents that teachers include in their educational process in Geography lessons. Furthermore it highlights the importance of geographic information systems that should play a more important role in fulfilling the teaching plan goals and gaining competence in Geography.
The presented model is an important research contribution in the field of Geography didactics. It is also important from the view of possibilities offered by the ICT in Geography lessons, as well as from the view of needed methods' adaptation, teaching forms and self-education.
