Using force plate to analyze jump at physics

Povzetek
Med novimi tehnologijami, ki jih uporabljamo v šoli, imajo pri naravoslovnih predmetih pomembno vlogo računalniško podprte meritve. Z Vernierovim merilnikom sile na plošči (angleško force plate) lahko preučujemo skok in druge pojave. Merilnik sile nam omogoča natančno merjenje tudi pri hitro spreminjajočih se silah. Opazujemo lahko silo na merilnik med skokom, določimo trajanje skoka in primerjamo silo ob trdem in mehkem doskoku. Z obdelavo podatkov lahko določimo rezultanto sil, sunek sile, hitrost ob odskoku, čas trajanja skoka in višino, ki jo dosežemo. Na ta način pouk popestrimo in dijakom nazorneje predstavimo fizikalne koncepte.

Abstract
Among the new technologies that are used in school, computer based experiments play an important role at sciences. With Vernier’s force plate we can analyze jumps and other phenomena. Force plate can be used for accurate measurement of rapidly changing forces. We can observe force during the jump, determine duration of jump and compare forces during hard and soft landing. With processed data we can determine resultant force, impulse, maximum speed during the jump, duration of jump and height that is reached. Using the described approach we can make lessons more interesting and clearly present physical concepts to students.
