Povzetek
V slovenskih javnih vrtcih se vse pogosteje uporablja IK sredstva tudi pri delu z otroki. V letu 2011 je Zavod republike Slovenije za šolstvo, Oddelek za predšolsko vzgojo, izvedel raziskavo, s katero smo ugotavljali smiselnost in varnost uporabe teh sredstev. Z njo smo želeli pridobiti tudi vpogled, katera IK sredstva so najpogosteje uporabljena pri vzgojno-izobraževalnem delu z otroki.
Raziskava je potekala v slovenskih javnih vrtcih, v 158 oddelkih prvega in drugega starostnega obdobja ter v kombiniranih oddelkih. Sodelovale so vzgojiteljice, ki jim je uporaba IK sredstev močno področje in so v namen raziskave načrtno uporabile IK tehnologijo.
Raziskava »Ne/smiselna uporaba IK sredstev pri delu z otroki v vrtcu« je bila prva tovrstna raziskava na področju predšolske vzgoje v vrtcih v Sloveniji. Pokazala je, da so slovenski javnih vrtcih zaposlene strokovne delavke, ki znajo rokovati z IK sredstvi pri VIZ-delu z otroki ter ta sredstva znajo tudi smiselno in varno uporabljati. Ključno pa je spoznanje, da so za izvajanje tovrstnih dejavnosti potrebne pedagoške in digitalne zmožnosti odraslih, oplemenitene z ustreznim odnosom strokovnih delavcev do otrok in predšolskega področja.

Abstract
In Slovenian kindergartens ICT is used more and more frequently. In 2011 the National Education Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Preschool Education Section performed a research with the main objective to determine if such technology is meaningful and safely used. Another objective was to find out what kind of ICT is mostly used during the educational work with children in the kindergartens.
The research has been performed in Slovenian public kindergartens in 158 classes of the first and second age groups and in combined classes. Teachers, who are good in the use of such technology, were chosen to take part in the research. For the purpose of this research they have intentionally used such technology.
This was the first research of that kind in kindergartens in Slovenia. It has shown that in Slovenian public kindergartens there are teachers, who are able to use ICT in the educational process. They are also able to use it meaningful and safely. The most important finding is however that such practice requires teaching skills and E-competences supplemented with the proper attitude towards children and preschool education.
