Povzetek
S srednješolci smo pri pouku Biologije preizkusili uporabnost digitalnega določevalnega ključa. za lesnate vrste Slovenije. S pomočjo pred-testa, po-testa in poznega po-testa smo določili raven znanja o organizmih, pridobljenega ob določanju s pomočjo digitalnega dihotomnega ključa. Uporabljena IKT tehnologija se je izkazala kot zelo uspešna pri pridobivanju novih znanj (21,1% izboljšanje znanja v po-testu). Dijaki so se največ naučili o značilnostih lesnatih vrst ter izboljšali poznavanje imen vrst. Med spoloma nismo zaznali bistvenih razlik v izhodiščnem in na novo pridobljenem znanju ali v njegovi trajnosti. Ključi so se izkazali kot učinkovita, zanimiva in priročna metoda za določanje organizmov, ki omogoča sprotno usvajanje bioloških znanj, hkrati pa ima velik potencial za spodbujanje dijakov za izkustveno učenje.

Abstract
Applicability of digital tools for determination of organisms was tested with secondary school students at Biology class. We used the digital dichotomous key for woody species of Slovenia and we applied pre-test, post-test and late post-test to determine the level of knowledge that was obtained during the identification of organisms. Used ICT technology has proved to be very successful in generating new knowledge (21,1% improvement in knowledge in the post-test). The students learned the most about the characteristics of woody species and there was an increase in the knowledge of the names of species. We did not find any significant gender-related differences in the initial and in the newly acquired knowledge or in the durability of acquired knowledge. Keys have proven to be effective, interesting and convenient method for the determination of organisms that allows acquisition of biological knowledge during the process of determination. At the same time it has great potential to promote students' experiential learning.
