Povzetek
Učence moramo navajati, da informacijam, s katerimi se srečujejo v vsakdanjem življenju, prisluhnejo, o njih razmišljajo in jih kritično presojajo. Razumevanje dogodkov, procesov in odnosov v vsakdanjem življenju pa je po navadi kompleksno in zahteva uporabo ter povezovanje znanj različnih predmetnih področij. Seveda velja tudi obratno. Primer iz resničnega življenja lahko uporabimo kot izhodišče za delo pri pouku in s tem osmislimo vsebine, ki jih obravnavamo. V prispevku je opisan primer projektnega dela učencev 9. razreda pri pouku matematike. Učenci so analizirali vsebino časopisnega članka o evropskem proračunu. Uredili in obdelali so pridobljene podatke, o njih razpravljali in jih interpretirali. Na zanimiv način so uporabili znanje matematike o obdelavi podatkov in razmerju količin in se hkrati seznanili z nekaterimi pojmi s področja ekonomije. IKT so uporabili v vseh fazah projektnega dela, pri opredelitvi problema, reševanju problema, shranjevanju in deljenju dokumentov, pa tudi pri zaključnem poročanju o ugotovitvah.

Abstract
Students should get accustomed to listening to the information they encounter in everyday life, to thinking about it, and critically evaluating it. Understanding the events, processes and relations in everyday life is usually complex, and requires use and integration of knowledge of different subject areas. Of course, reverse is also true. An example from real life can be used as a basis for work in classroom to give meaning to the content that is taught. This paper describes an example of project work of ninth class students at mathematics. Students analysed the content of a newspaper article about the European budget. They organised and analysed the resulting data, discussed and interpreted them. In an interesting way they used mathematical knowledge about data analysis and ratio of quantities, and became familiar with some concepts from the field of economics. ICT was used in all stages of project work, at problem definition, problem solving, saving and sharing of documents, as well as in final report on findings.
