Povzetek
V prispevku predstavljamo možnosti uporabe programa Google Zemlja pri pouku geografije v osnovni in srednji šoli. Program obsega interaktivni zemljevid Zemlje, ki ga odlikujejo zelo kvalitetni satelitski posnetki in možnost raziskovanja reliefa v 3D pogledu. Program je v slovenskem jeziku in je zelo preprost za uporabo, kar povečuje njegovo uporabnost pri pouku. Pri pouku geografije ga uporabljamo za vizualizacijo in prostorsko umestitev (3D pogled) različnih reliefnih oblik, opazovanje časovnih sprememb v pokrajini, raziskovanje neba, Marsa in Lune, za prenos in prikaz z GPS-om prehojene poti na terenu, načrtovanje poti in postankov terenskega dela, šolske ekskurzije in drugo. Z njegovo uporabo pri pouku učenci/dijaki razvijajo veščine uporabe interaktivnih zemljevidov, sposobnost orientacije na zemljevidu, pridobivajo potrebne prostorske predstave, se urijo v branju grafov in v selektivnem iskanju želenih podatkov in informacij. Učitelji si olajšamo iskanje dodatnih gradiv, hkrati pa pomembno obogatimo in popestrimo pouk. Kljub priporočilu uporabe programa v učnem načrtu za geografijo v gimnazijah je le-ta še vedno razmeroma slabo poznan med učitelji, zato smo ga vključili v enega izmed seminarjev v okviru projekta E-šolstvo.

Abstract
The paper introduces the opportunities of using Goggle Earth during geography lessons at primary and secondary schools. The program includes an interactive Earth map with high-quality satellite footages and the possibility of exploring the surface in a 3D view. The use of the program operating with the Slovene language is more than easy, which increases its use during school lessons. During geography lessons, it is used for visualisation and spatial organisation (3D view) of different surface shapes, for observing temporal changes within a landscape, for exploring the sky, Mars, Jupiter, and the Moon, for transmitting and introducing GPS data of a certain path, for planning directions and stops of a certain field work or school excursion etc. By using the program, pupils and students develop their skills of using interactive maps; upgrade their map orientation, gain important spatial imagination, increase graphical understanding, and selective search of data and information. Teachers have fewer problems with finding additional materials, and can make their lessons more interesting. Although the use of the program is recommended by the school curriculum plan for geography lessons at gymnasiums, it is not very known among teachers. Due to the current situation the program was included into one of the seminars of the e-Schooling Project.
