Povzetek
Svet se je bistveno spremenil. Iz počasnega, neinventivnega 2D-sveta (ploščat, dvodimenzionalen svet), je nastal hitrejši in inovativnejši 3D-svet (turbulenten, tridimenzionalen svet). V tem novem okolju imajo ljudje, ki verjamejo v svoje sposobnosti in imajo dostop do informacij, največjo veljavo.
Naš izobraževalni sistem je nastal v 2D-svetu, ki mu je manjkalo informacij. V njem smo ustvarili 2D-šole, ki so učencem ponudile dostop do knjig, priročnikov in znanja učiteljev. Čeprav smo imeli dobre namene, imajo dvodimenzionalne šole zelo negativne posledice. Nenamerno smo nadarjene učitelje in učence spremenili v ovce brez talenta in strasti. V 2D-svetu, kjer so organizacije lahko preživele, ne da bi uporabljale bogastvo ljudi, je bilo to sprejemljivo. Toda če danes, v 3D-svetu, ne bomo popolnoma spremenili izobraževanja, smo izgubljeni.
Danes namreč doživljamo prehod iz 2D v 3D. To ni obdobje evolucije, pač pa čas revolucije. Iz nje bo vzniknila nova vrsta šole. Šola, ki ne temelji na manku informacij, pač pa je zgrajena na obilju informacij. Prispevek bo predstavil prepričljiv pogled na prehod iz 2D v 3D. Ne bo zgolj ponudil razumevanja, temveč tudi strategijo inovacij za šole, ki stremijo k novemu ravnotežju. To bo zgodba o 2D, 3D, ovcah, pametnih in rdečih opicah. To bo zgodba za junake, ki v kaosu ustvarjajo spremembe.
Abstract
The world has changed dramatically. Transforming from a slow moving, non-innovative 2D-world (flat, 2-dimensional) to a fast moving, very innovative 3D-world (turbulent, 3-dimensional). In this new environment, people with passion for their talents and access to information will have the highest value. Our educational system however was born in the 2D-world, a world with information shortage. Then , we created 2D-schools to give students access to books, manuals and teacher knowledge. Although created with the best intentions, these 2D-schools have a very negative consequence. We unintentionally transformed talented teachers and students in talent- and passionless sheep. This was fine in the 2D-world where organizations could survive without using the richness of people. But today, in the 3D-world, if we don’t go for a complete rethinking of education … we are lost.
Today we experience the switch from 2D to 3D. This is not a period of evolution but of revolution. And from this revolution a new type of school will emerge. A school that is built, not based on information shortage, but based on information luxury. This presentation will give a compelling view on the switch from 2D to 3D. It will not only offer understanding but will also give an innovation strategy for schools in search of a new balance. It will be a story of 2D, 3D, Sheep, Smarts and Red Monkeys. It will be a story for heroes that create change in the midst of chaos.
