Projekt iEARN: Fair play

Povzetek Pouk tujega jezika (v našem primeru angleščine) lahko zelo obogatimo s sodelovanjem v mrežnih projektih iEARN. Namen iEARN projekta Fair Play je spodbujanje kritičnega razmišljanja mladostnikov o vlogi športa, o vplivu medijev in odkrita izmenjava mnenj med mladimi v različnih evropskih državah. Šport je neločljivo povezan z našim vsakdanjikom in nas spodbuja in navaja na zdrav način življenja in mišljenja. Ob športnih dogodkih se sproščajo močna čustva. Žal so ta pogosto tudi negativna in povezana z ljudmi in dogodki, ki s športom nimajo veliko skupnega. Projekt smo opravili v spletni učilnici. Delali smo postopoma v petih zaporednih učnih listih. Dijaki so za komunikacijo z učiteljem in sošolci uporabljali forum in sporočila v spletni učilnici, nekajkrat pa so za pojasnila prosili tudi pri rednem šolskem pouku in po elektronski pošti. Sodelovanje pri projektu je bilo prostovoljno, saj smo na ta način delali prvič.
Abstract Foreign language lessons (in our case English lessons) can be made much more interesting by participating in iEARN web-based projects. The aim of the iEARN project Fair Play is to encourage young people's critical thinking about the role of sport, about the role of mass media and to share their opinion with youngsters from other European countries. Sport is tightly connected with our daily life and prepares us for healthy lifestyle. Sport events generate strong feelings which are, unfortunately, often negative and connected with people and events that have nothing in common with real sporting spirit. The project was carried out in our virtual classroom. We were approaching the final result gradually – in five graded worksheets. Forums and messages from the virtual classroom were used for communication with the tutor and peers. Some students asked for explanation during our regular classes or using e-mail as well. Participation in the project was on voluntary basis as we were working this way for the first time.
