Povzetek
V članku je predstavljen koncept informatizacije vzgojno izobraževalnih zavodov, ki posredno zajema širši izobraževalni prostor (vključujoč trende na področju vseživljenjskega učenja). Članek temelji na predpostavki, da moderna informacijska družba ustvarja nove potrebe in izzive ter zagotavlja orodje za njihovo obvladovanje. Projekt SIO - Slovensko izobraževalno omrežje je konceptualno umeščen v slovenski izobraževalni prostor, saj upošteva sprejete strateške dokumente, iniciative ter vizijo predstavljeno v dokumentu »Strategija razvoja informacijske družbe – si2010«. SIO torej predstavlja enotno vstopno točko do informacij, vsebin in storitev povezanih z uporabo informacijskih in komunikacijskih tehnologij v slovenskem izobraževalnem prostoru za učence, učitelje, druge strokovne delavce, starše … Hkrati predstavlja osnovno tehnološko in organizacijsko infrastrukturo, ki omogoča vključevanje zainteresiranih ciljnih skupin v sodobne izobraževalne procese.
Summary
This article presents the concepts for the “informatization” of educational institutions, which indirectly influences educational sector in a wider sense (including current trends in life-long learning). The article is based on presumption that modern information society creates new needs and challenges and it assures tools for their realization. Project SIO – The Slovenian Education Network is conceptually embedded in the Slovene education sector and it takes into consideration the accepted strategic documents, initiatives and the vision presented in the document »The strategy for the growth of the Information Society – si2010«. SIO therefore presents a unified access point to information, content and services connected with the usage of IKT for students, teachers, other experts, parents and other in Slovene educational sector. At the same time it provides basic technological and organizational infrastructure that enables interested target groups to be introduced into current and up to date educational ideas and processes.
