Povzetek

Predstavitev bo proučila potrebo po preoblikovanju izobraževanja, da bi zadovoljili potrebe učenca 21. stoletja. Stoletja je v Evropi prevladoval le en pedagoški model, ki je temeljil na osnovi učbenika, ki je na začetku revolucioniral učenje in s tem družbo.
Prodorno uvajanje digitalnih tehnologij v družbi je pripeljalo do velikih razlik med učitelji in učenci, tako da današnji način poučevanja ni več najprimernejši.
Med predstavitvijo se bomo osredotočili na izzive, s katerimi se srečuje današnja družba, in kako je treba uporabiti tehnologijo, da bi bili v učilnici ponovno ustvarjalni. Preučili bomo tudi, kakšno revolucijo je Apple ustvaril v glasbeni industriji z iTunes glede izobraževalnih vsebin v 21. stoletju.

Abstract

This paper will explore the need to transform education to meet the needs of the 21st century learner. For centuries, a single pedagogy model has dominated Europe. This model was based on the textbook which, at it inception, revolutionised learning and in doing so society.
The pervasive introduction of digital technologies into society has led massive differences between educators and learners. As such, could it be that the way we teach today is no longer is adequate.
During the presentation, we will look at the challenges that face today’s society, and how we must use technology to re-kindle creativity in the classroom. We will also look at how the revolution that Apple created in the music industry with iTunes bears relevance to 21st century educational content.
