Povzetek

ZPTJ (zgodnje poučevanje tujega jezika) se pomika v nižje razrede in načini poučevanja se morajo nujno prilagoditi tako razvojni stopnji otrok kot sodobnim trendom poučevanja in učenja ter življenju nasploh. Temelji ZPTJ so še vedno v jezikovni kopeli in vzpodbudi, da otrok prebrodi jezikovno barikado čim bolj spontano. V 1. triadi so najpomembnejši avdio-vizualni pripomočki, ki temeljijo na asociativnem gibu. V proces poučevanja je smiselno vključiti pesmi in izštevanke, ki so otrokom blizu. Z njihovo pomočjo se otroci skoraj nezavedno naučijo besednih zvez v tujem jeziku, ker so v rimah. Tudi igre (tombola, slikovni narek, spomin …) jim nudijo zadovoljstvo in ob njih nimajo občutka, da se učijo oz. učenje besed v angleščini poteka bolj spontano.
Posebno vrednost pri ZPTJ pa nam nudijo IKT-sredstva, saj je otrokom uporaba računalniških programov pri poučevanju vedno motivacijsko sredstvo, nudi pa tudi kratek odzivni čas, ko otrok ugotovi, ali je nalogo rešil pravilno oz. napačno.
V zadnjem času se kot nov medij pri ZPTJ vse bolj pojavlja interaktivna tabla, ki ima pri ZPTJ prav posebno mesto.

Abstract

ELL (Early Language Learning) is moving to early years, and so teaching methods need to be adapted to the level of children's development and to modern trends in teaching and learning and life in general. The foundations of ELL still lie in language immersion and encouragement to help children break the language barrier as spontaneously as possible. In the 1st triad, audio-visual aids are the most important, and are based on miming. In the process of teaching, it is useful to include songs and chants which children are familiar with. Through these, children almost unconsciously learn phrases in a foreign language because they are in rhymes. Even games (bingo, picture dictation, memory, ...) offer them satisfaction as they do not feel they are learning and so the process of acquiring words in English is more spontaneous.
ICT resources are provided as a special value in ELL, since the use of computer programs to teach children is a motivational tool and also offer a short response time to help children discover whether they have performed the task correctly.
Recently a new medium for ELL has become more common. It is an interactive whiteboard, which has a special place in ELL.
