Povzetek

Strukture spojin organskih molekul so zelo zapletene. Osnovnošolci njihovo zgradbo in posledično njihove kemijske lastnosti težko razumejo. Pri pouku jih pogosto prikazujemo s krogličnimi, paličnimi modeli, ki so zelo dragi in statični. Računalniški program ChemSketch pa omogoča prikaz organskih molekul z različnimi modeli, v različnih položajih in v gibanju. Na ta način učenci na podlagi računalniške projekcije različnih strukturnih formul in modelov lažje in hitreje prepoznajo vsaj življenjsko najpomembnejše organske molekule, kot so glukoza, hemoglobin, DNA. Na podlagi znanja o strukturi in razumevanja zgradbe molekul pa je možno tudi predpostavljanje lastnosti teh snovi.

Abstract

The structures of the molecules of organic compounds are very complex. Pupils have difficulties in understanding their structures and characteristics – this is why teachers use various models to help them understand. These models are very expensive and static. The CheSketch computer program enables teachers to present organic molecules and to view them as models in different positions and motion. The computer projections of different structural formulas and models help pupils to recognise at least such vital organic molecules as glucose, haemoglobin and DNA.
