Povzetek
Uporaba digitalne kamere in digitalnega fotoaparata je v pedagoški praksi pogosta in dobrodošla. V dijaškem domu z njima beležimo pomembne domske dogodke in dejavnosti, nepogrešljiva sta pri oblikovanju spletne strani, nastajanju domskega glasila, športnem udejstvovanju dijakov ipd.

Zanimalo me je, kako bi lahko uporaba večpredstavnosti obogatila vsakodnevno življenje v vzgojni skupini v dijaškem domu, kjer dnevi običajno tečejo po rutiniranih, ustaljenih tirnicah. Želela sem popestriti in obogatiti ta vsakdan, zabeležiti številne in raznovrstne dogodke, ki oblikujejo življenje neke dijaške skupine v šolskem letu, dogajanje arhivirati na sodoben način in konec leta izdati zgoščenko − fantom za spomin na leto v domu, staršem in ostalim pa za neposreden vpogled v dijaško življenje. Moj cilj je bil: ujeti in ohraniti življenje in delo v dijaški skupini s pomočjo IKT.

Dejavnost je bila v skupini z navdušenjem sprejeta. Fantje, ki so bili sprva le pasivni akterji, so kmalu začeli sodelovati, »igrati«, naredili so svojo »oddajo« in se pri tem izvrstno zabavali. Posneli smo krst novincev, obisk razrednikov na Miklavžev večer, učne ure, nekaj športnih dejavnosti, navijanje za naše na svetovnem mladinskem prvenstvu v skokih, zaključni piknik … Posneti material smo obdelali s programsko opremo in preživeli veliko prijetnih trenutkov ob gledanju našega skupnega dosežka.

Uporaba digitalne kamere je v naši skupini zdaj stalnica. Doseženi so vsi zadani cilji: druženje, sodelovanje, zabava v prostem času, aktiviranje posameznikov, pridobivanje in širjenje znanja s področja IKT, našli smo dejavnost, ki je blizu vsem, in poskrbeli, da nam nikoli ni dolgčas. Svoje posnetke objavljamo na dijaški domski strani, konec leta pa smo izdali tudi svojo prvo zgoščenko. In končno – postavili smo temelje medijski pismenosti, ki bo za fante v nadaljnjem življenju, obdobju t. i. mediokracije, nepogrešljiva.

Abstract
The use of digital image technology of digital cameras has become frequent and is most welcome in the educational practice. We use the digital camera and the digital photo camera in our dormitory to document the most important events and activities; they are invaluable for the content of our presentation on the web page, in the production of the dorm publication, for encouraging and documenting sports and other extra curriculum activities, etc.

I initiated the use of multimedia in everyday life at the dormitory to test their potential in an educational unit that normally follows a set daily routine. I was looking for ways to make our everyday life more lively, attractive and memorable, to document the numerous small events and special celebrations that are part of the group dynamics. The goal was to provide the dorm residents with a modern, visually interesting and long-lasting reference to the time spent at the dorm, while their parents and other non-residents are for the first time provided with a direct insight into the dorm life. In short, the goal was to capture and preserve some reflections of (and on) living and working at the dorm through the use of ICT.

The residents have been most positive about the activity. Being just passive objects of the camera at first they soon became active participants, "actors", producing their own "broadcast" and having a great time all along. We have taped the initiation of novices, the visit of resident teachers, studying terms, some sports activities and the final picnic. We edited the material with computer software and then spent long hours watching, laughing, discussing and planning new activities.

The use of digital camera has become constant in our group and all key goals have been reached: socialising, cooperation, creative free time, the activation of (many previously reserved) individuals and acquiring (multi)media literacy. We have been exploring an area that everybody can relate to (in societies overwhelmed by the media) and making sure that it is never boring at the dorm. We have been providing the content for the dorm web page and issued our first CD at the end of the year 2006.
