USING ICT IN SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION DATA AND WRITING SEMINAR PAPERS

Povzetek
Avtorja sva izvedla projekt uporabe IKT (informacijsko-komunikacijske tehnologije) pri iskanju in uporabi informacijskih virov knjižničnih gradiv in uporabi le-teh pri izdelavi seminarske naloge za predmet Informatika v 1. letniku programa turistični tehnik na Srednji gostinski in turistični šoli Radovljica. Podrobneje sva jim predstavila osnovno iskanje v sistemu COBISS (glede na avtorja, naslov, leto izida, ključne besede). Dijakom sva pokazala, kako izberejo ustrezno bazo podatkov, omejijo morebitno preveliko število zadetkov glede na jezik, vrsto gradiva ali leto izida. Predstavila sva jim tudi referenčni servis Vprašaj knjižničarja ter iskanje po vrstah knjižnic (NUK, visokošolske, specialne, splošne in šolske knjižnice), iskanje po krajih ali po abecedi. Prizadevnost in motivacija dijakov je bila na zelo visoki ravni, verjetno zato, ker so vsi aktivno uporabljali IKT. Rezultati iskanja so pokazali, da so vrzeli pri iskanju informacijskih virov še vedno prevelike, zato avtorja ugotavljava, da bo v prihodnje potrebno temu področju posvetiti več praktičnega dela oz. podobnih ur medpredmetnih povezovanj.

Abstract
The authors have carried out a project on how to use ICT (information communication technology) when searching for information data and writing seminar papers as part of the 1st year tourism program compulsory curriculum at High school of catering and tourism in Radovljica. The students were shown in detail how to search in the COBISS system (according to the author, title, the year of publishing, key words). They were taught how to choose the appropriate data base and how to limit the number of found items according to the language, type of literature and the year of publishing. They were also shown the referential service Ask the librarian and taught how to search through specialized libraries (National University Library, University libraries, special libraries, general libraries, school libraries), places and alphabetically.

Diligence and motivation of the students were extremely high, probably because they were actively using ICT. The results of searching for COBISS data showed that there are still many undefined issues, therefore the authors are planning to do more practical and inter-subject work.
