ICT INFRASTRUCTURE IN INFORMATIZATION OF SCHOOLS

Povzetek
Prispevek se ukvarja s problematiko infrastrukture v informatizaciji šole, ki jo zastavi kot informatizacijo pedagoškega in administrativnega dela šole na skupni infrastrukturi. Sledi ogled pomena infrastrukture v IKT, in sicer na primeru Microsoft Infrastructure Optimization modela in knjižnice dobrih praks IT Infrastructure Library. Opredeljene so storitve, ki jih mora zagotavljati infrastruktura, ter izpostavljeno dejstvo, da ne zadošča zgolj tehnologija, ampak so za dobro infrastrukturo potrebni tudi procesi in ljudje. Pregled obstoječega stanja na šolah pokaže, da obstaja možnost izboljšave nivoja infrastrukturnih storitev. Izpostavimo možnost, da infrastrukturo iz šol centraliziramo v enotnem centru ter si ogledamo, kakšne morajo biti lastnosti takega centra. Zaključimo z opisom modela takega centra, kot smo si ga zamislili na Gimnaziji Bežigrad.

Abstract
The subject of infrastructure services in informatization of schools is addressed in this article. Informatization is defined as a project of bringing ICT into pedagogical and administrative functions of a school, based on a solid common infrastructure. The components of ICT infrastructure are investigated, based on the model of ICT infrastructure brought forward by Microsoft, the Infrastructure Optimization Model, and a library of best practices, the IT Infrastructure Library. The services that the infrastructure should offer are defined and it is pointed out that it is not only technology that matters, but people and processes as well. A brief review of the state of ICT infrastructure in schools brings us to a possibility of enhancing the state of the art by consolidating the common infrastructure in a unified centre. The necessary properties of such a centre are defined and a suggestion for such a centre, based on the work done by Gimnazija Bežigrad, is proposed.
