Povzetek
V novem digitalnem svetu se soočamo z drugačnimi izzivi kot v prejšnjem stoletju. Danes dostop do programske in strojne opreme več ni problem, imamo pa težave pri obvladovanju velike količine informacij ter raznolike strojne in programske opreme, kjer se pogosto srečujemo z vprašanji:

• Kako sploh izkoristiti vse možnosti, ki nam jih ponujata internet ter sodobna strojna in programska oprema?
• Kako obvladati vso infrastrukturo?
• Kako varovati opremo pred napadi od zunaj (virusi, črvi) in znotraj (učenci)?
• Kako organizirati delo in ljudi, da bo vzdrževanje računalnikov neboleče in kar najcenejše?
• Kaj vse lahko naredimo s sodobno programsko opremo? Kje so omejitve?
• Kako izboljšati izmenjavo informacij med učitelji, starši in učenci?

Na predavanju bomo predstavili izzive, ki jih ponuja sodobna programska oprema, in odgovorili na nekatera najpogostejša vprašanja s tega področja.

Abstract
In new digital world we are facing different challenges than we faced before. Access to hardware and software is no longer an issue but the new challenge is how to handle the enormous amount of information and manage heterogeneous hardware and software environments. Common questions that often appear are:

• How to take advantage of all opportunities that are offered by the Internet and modern software and hardware equipment?
• How to manage the entire infrastructure?
• How to protect the equipment against attacks from outside (worms, viruses) and inside (students)?
• How to organize people and operations to reduce the costs and complexity of infrastructure management?
• What does modern software enable us to do? What are its limitations?
• How to improve the information exchange between teachers, parents and students?

This session is showcase of the challenges offered by the latest software and the answer to some of the most frequently asked questions regarding this topic.
