Predstavitev
Povzetek Predavanje bo predstavilo praktično plat komunikacije z Arnesom. Predavatelj bo predstavil organiziranost Arnesa, kam poklicati ali poslati e-pošto glede različnih tematik svetovanja ali ob težavah. Pregledali bomo osnovna izhodišča za svetovanje (kdo kliče, kdo so kontaktne osebe, kakšna svetovanja nudimo), katere osnovne podatke se pričakuje od klicatelja in kakšno odzivnost lahko pričakuje klicatelj. Pregledali bomo najpogostejše težave in vprašanja uporabnikov ter povzeli glavne napotke, kako ravnati ob težavah. V sklopu predavanja je zaželena medsebojna izmenjava izkušenj s slušatelji in njihovi predlogi za izboljšanje medsebojne komunikacije. Na predavanje so predvsem vabljeni vodje oz. odgovorni za lokalna računalniška omrežja na organizacijah, ki imajo povezavo v omrežje ARNES, vzdrževalci omrežij na takih organizacijah in zahtevnejši uporabniki takih omrežij.

Abstract The lecture presents the best possible way of communication with Arnes experts. It presents the way Arnes is organised, where to call or who an e-mail sent to if experts' advice is needed or in case an organisation (a school institution or university for example) has technical problems with connectivity to the ARNES backbone. We review some basic points Arnes experts need for giving effective advise to customers and what the customers may expect from them. It reviews most common problems the customers usually encounter, most common questions asked by users and most common guidelines and directions given to them to do in such situations. During the lecture the audience is encouraged to share their experience and to give suggestions for improvement of the relationship between users and Arnes experts. The lecture is focused on local area network managers, local area network support staff and on experienced users with more than basic knowledge of computer networks.
